Support
If something in Exercise is confusing, broken, or unclear, this page is the fastest place to start. The goal is direct support, not a maze.
Short version
- Use the support email if you need help.
- Include your device, iOS version, and what you were trying to do.
- If the issue involves Apple billing, some parts of the answer may depend on Apple's subscription systems.
How to get help
If you need support, the best option is email. To make the address a little less obvious to basic scraping tools, it is not printed as a raw email address by default on this page.
What to include in your email
- what device you were using
- your iOS or iPadOS version
- what screen or feature you were using
- what you expected to happen
- what actually happened instead
- whether the issue involves workout structure, timers, rest periods, HealthKit, reminders, subscriptions, iCloud sync, or AI generation
Common questions
Can Exercise handle timed holds, reps, and rest in the same workout?
Yes. Exercise is designed for workout templates that mix timed exercises, rep targets, set counts, rest periods, and other workout step types in one plan. If a specific structure is not behaving as expected, include the workout details in your support request.
Can I edit a workout while I am logging it?
Yes. The app is meant to stay flexible while you train. If your active session is not letting you change reps, timing, notes, or workout structure the way you expected, describe the exact step you were trying to edit.
How do I restore Premium purchases?
Premium billing is handled through Apple's App Store systems. If you already subscribed with the same Apple account, use the app's restore flow. If Apple still does not report the subscription correctly, the issue may involve Apple's account or subscription status.
Do I have to subscribe to try Premium?
No. Exercise gives you 7 days of Premium access automatically after install. You can use that time to try the Premium features without starting a subscription, then decide afterward whether you want to subscribe.
Why is Apple Health not working?
Check that HealthKit permission is enabled for Exercise and that you are choosing to save the workout to Apple Health for that session. The app can work without HealthKit, so permission settings are the first place to look.
Why are reminders not arriving?
Exercise uses Apple's notification permissions. If reminders are enabled in the app but not appearing, confirm that notifications are allowed in system settings and that your reminder schedule is configured the way you expect.
How does optional iCloud sync work?
Exercise works fully without iCloud sync. If you turn sync on, your data can move between your devices through iCloud. If something looks out of sync, include the devices involved and whether they are signed into the same iCloud account.
Can I export or import my data?
Yes. Exercise includes export for backups, and import requires Premium access so you can move workouts and workout logs between devices. If something goes wrong, mention whether the problem happened during export, opening the file, or importing it.
Why is AI workout generation unavailable?
AI workout generation depends on device and platform support. If the feature is unavailable, include your device model and OS version so the support response can focus on compatibility first instead of guessing.
