Terms of Service
These terms explain the basic rules for using Exercise to design, log, and review your own workouts. The goal is clarity, not legal theater.
Short version
- You get a personal, limited right to use Exercise.
- Subscriptions and billing are handled by Apple.
- Exercise is a fitness tool, not medical advice or coaching.
- You are responsible for how you train and for listening to your body and your professionals.
- Stan Lemon can update, change, or discontinue parts of the app.
Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and Stan Lemon, the operator of Exercise. They apply to your use of the app, the Exercise pages on this site, and related support content unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Your license to use Exercise
Exercise is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms and any App Store rules that apply to your download, you may use Exercise for your own personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable use.
You may not copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or exploit Exercise in a way that goes beyond ordinary personal use. You also may not use the app in a way that violates law, breaks the service for others, or interferes with the app's intended operation.
Subscriptions and payments
Exercise offers a free tier and optional Premium subscriptions. The app may also include an introductory Premium access period, such as 7 days of Premium features after install, without requiring you to start a subscription first.
If you later choose to subscribe, subscription purchases, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled through Apple's App Store systems. If Apple reports an active subscription to the app, Exercise may unlock Premium features accordingly. If Apple reports that a subscription has ended, changed, or failed to renew, access may change to match that status.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Exercise. That includes trying to reverse engineer the app beyond what the law clearly allows, trying to bypass subscription checks improperly, using the app for unlawful purposes, or attempting to disrupt its operation.
No medical, training, or professional advice
Exercise is a software tool for planning and logging workouts. It is not a doctor, physical therapist, athletic trainer, dietitian, or coach. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a promise that a workout is appropriate for you.
If you have injuries, medical conditions, pain, dizziness, or safety concerns, you should use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals. You are responsible for deciding whether a workout, exercise, or progression is safe for you.
Workout safety is your responsibility
You are responsible for how you perform exercises, what weights you choose, how hard you train, whether you use equipment safely, and whether your environment is appropriate. Exercise can help you plan and record a workout, but it cannot supervise what happens in the real world.
App changes and availability
Stan Lemon may update Exercise, change features, change pricing, add or remove integrations, or discontinue all or part of the app at any time. Reasonable effort may be made to keep the app working well, but uninterrupted availability is not promised.
Some features may depend on Apple services, device capabilities, operating system support, or network access. If those dependencies change, related features may change as well.
Disclaimers
Exercise is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent allowed by law. No promise is made that the app will always be error-free, perfectly available, or suitable for every user's needs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Stan Lemon will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or business interruption arising out of your use of Exercise.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, any direct liability related to Exercise will be limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months before the claim, if any.
Termination
These terms remain in effect while you use Exercise. Your rights under them end if you stop using the app or if your use of the app is terminated for violating these terms or applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Indiana, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
